Baxter's Concrete Lifting & Slab Leveling
Most contractors level what they can see. We fix what caused it: voids, soil movement, and frost damage, so your concrete stays level for good.
Why Choose Technical Construction Solutions for Concrete Lifting & Slab Leveling?
When we talk to homeowners and property managers across Baxter, whether it is someone with a sunken driveway near Westgate or a shop owner dealing with a settled warehouse floor off Excelsior Road, we hear the same thing: "It keeps dropping back down."
One call stays with me. A homeowner just off College Road in Baxter had a concrete apron at his garage entrance that had settled nearly three inches. He had it patched the previous fall. By spring, it had dropped again. When we went out to take a look, the problem was not the patch. The problem was a void the size of a bathtub sitting beneath the slab, carved out by years of snowmelt running under the edge of the concrete and eroding the soil below. We injected polyurethane foam, filled the void, stabilized the base, and lifted the slab back to grade. The surface was usable that same afternoon.
That situation is common across Baxter. The area sits on sandy, glacially deposited soils that drain poorly in some spots and erode quickly in others. Combined with Crow Wing County's aggressive freeze-thaw season, the ground beneath your concrete is under repeated stress from October through April.
Patches treat what you can see. Foam lifting addresses what is actually causing the movement.
Freddy Lewis founded Technical Construction Solutions after 15 years of hands-on field experience, including highway lifting, undersealing, and void filling at the commercial and infrastructure level. That background brings a level of diagnostic depth to concrete lifting that most local contractors simply do not carry. Alongside concrete lifting, TCS provides a full range of construction and insulation services across Baxter, all under one crew. Same-Day Use
Residential Concrete Lifting
For homeowners across Baxter and the surrounding lakes region, sunken concrete is rarely just a cosmetic issue. A settled garage floor, a tilted sidewalk panel, a driveway apron that now drains toward the foundation, these are safety hazards, drainage problems, and structural signals that get worse the longer they are left alone.
The polyurethane foam lifting process works through small, minimally invasive drill holes in the affected slab. High-density foam is injected beneath the concrete, expands to fill the void, and lifts the slab back to its original position with precision. The foam cures in minutes, the holes are patched, and the surface is ready to use the same day. No demolition, no concrete trucks, no days of downtime.
For homeowners who have looked at mudjacking as an option, polyurethane foam is significantly lighter, cures faster, and does not wash out over time the way cement-based slurry can.
Commercial Capacity
Commercial Concrete Lifting
Commercial lifting projects demand a different level of operational capacity. Uneven warehouse floors, settled loading dock approaches, sunken parking lot sections, and commercial entry slabs all carry real business risk when they are left unaddressed, and fixing them requires a crew and equipment setup that can work efficiently and on a defined schedule.
TCS operates multiple dedicated lifting rigs, including a purpose-built "Big Rig" setup designed for high-capacity commercial jobs. The equipment arrives ready for the full scope of the project. No mid-job supply runs, no scheduling adjustments, no surprises. For facility managers and commercial property owners across central Minnesota, that reliability is what keeps a repair job from becoming an operational disruption.
Expert Slab Leveling & Related Services in Baxter, MN
Slab Leveling
Precision polyurethane foam lifting for uneven and sunken concrete surfaces. Whether it is a residential driveway or a commercial warehouse floor, slabs are restored to original grade with accuracy that patching and mudjacking simply cannot match.
Soil Stabilization and Void Filling
Hollow areas beneath concrete slabs form when water erodes soil, tree roots decay, or utility trenches settle over time. Left alone, they grow larger until the slab above gives way. TCS identifies and pressure-fills those voids before they become a collapse or structural issue.
Foam injection also addresses loose, erosion-prone, or moisture-compromised soil beneath flatwork and foundations. In Baxter's sandy soil conditions, stabilization is often what separates a repair that holds from one that fails within a season.
Joint Sealing
Control joints and expansion gaps that are left open allow water to infiltrate the soil below the slab. That water erodes the base, creates voids, and accelerates future settling. Sealing those joints after a lifting repair is one of the most cost-effective steps a property owner can take to protect the investment long-term.
Driveway, Approach & Walkway Leveling
Residential and commercial driveway aprons, garage floors, and entry slabs brought back to grade with foam precision. No replacement, no downtime, no mess.
Trip hazard correction for residential, commercial, and municipal walkways across Baxter and the surrounding Crow Wing County area. Fast turnaround, same-day use.
Why It Matters for Your Project
Most lifting contractors arrive with a basic rig and standard foam. For small residential work, that is often enough. But when the project involves a large commercial slab, significant void volume, or concrete that spans a complex footprint, equipment capacity determines whether the job gets done right or gets done twice.
TCS operates multiple dedicated foam lifting rigs and a "Big Rig" setup built specifically for high-volume projects. For homeowners, that means faster scheduling and a crew that prioritizes your project. For commercial clients across central Minnesota, it means a job that finishes on time without operational disruption.
"We were the first lifting crew he had seen show up fully prepared, no equipment delays, no supply issues, no schedule slippage. The job finished exactly on the timeline we had outlined at the start."
Why Baxter Contractors and Homeowners Trust Technical Construction Solutions
15+ Years of Hands-On Construction Experience
Freddy Lewis founded TCS after growing up in a highway construction family and spending over 15 years working in the field. That background informs every foam lift TCS performs, because sinking concrete is tied to soil conditions, moisture movement, drainage patterns, and structural load. The team understands all of it.
Highway-Grade Expertise on Every Project
TCS has performed highway lifting, undersealing, and void filling at the commercial and infrastructure level, work that demands precision and durability standards far above typical residential repair. That same standard applies to every residential driveway and commercial floor in Baxter.
Family-Built. Field-Proven
Construction has been part of the Lewis family for generations. That history is not a marketing line. It is the reason every project gets practical, real-world problem-solving rather than a franchise-style checklist.
Long-Term Structural Solutions, Not Surface Fixes
Every project includes an assessment of the underlying conditions: voids, soil stability, and water infiltration paths. The goal is to fix what caused the settling, not just what you can see.
Fair Pricing. No Shortcuts
TCS was built on one standard across Baxter: honest work at a competitive price. Estimates reflect what the job requires, done correctly the first time, with no padding and no corners cut.
On Time. On Budget. Every Time
Jobs finish on the schedule agreed to and within the budget outlined. For homeowners and commercial clients alike, that is a commitment made before the first rig pulls up.

Thank you.Posted on Google Bob WinsorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If Google allowed 10 stars I'd give them to TCS Insulation & Coatings! This is simply the best, and only, company you should consider for your spray foam insulation needs. I had my steel barn spray foamed by a different company. I was concerned about the low quality of that job. I have a wifi thermometer in the building and can watch the temperature closely. The temperature inside the building fluctuated almost exactly at the same time as the outside temperature. Clearly the foam was NOT insulating well. I contacted TCS and they came to inspect. They pointed out all of the many many problems with the foam. It was determined that ALL of that existing foam needed removal. The crew from TCS did an amazing job! This building is 40'x50' with 19' high sidewalls. A HUGE job! They worked so hard for many days. They then primed all of the now bare steel, and applied the new foam insulation. Now the temperature stays constant inside when the outside temp goes up and down. It's a huge difference! The workers were great to have around for over 2 weeks. Really nice and friendly. They feel like family now. I'm sure their arms and shoulders are still painful from this job. The building inspector was impressed with their work. The first picture shows only a tiny bit of the bad foam. This shows that the first company did not mix the foam correctly. That was only part of their problem.Posted on Google Samantha JonesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Spray foam insulation is an exceptional company.
