Baxter’s Spray Foam Roof Systems & Coatings Specialists
Not a roofing company that learned foam. A foam specialist that does roofing, built around spray technology from day one, with the application knowledge and dedicated equipment to prove it.
Why Choose TCS
Why Choose Technical Construction Solutions for Spray Foam Roof Systems in Baxter, MN?
Commercial property owners and facility managers across Baxter and central Minnesota tell us a version of the same story. A flat roof gets patched in spring, holds through summer, and by the following March, the problem is back, sometimes in the same spot, sometimes somewhere new. The repair bills stack up. The interior damage continues. And the underlying problem never actually gets addressed.
A property manager called after three consecutive years of dealing with a leaking section on a large storage building. A roofing crew had patched it each spring. Each winter, moisture found a new exit point nearby. When we walked on the roof, the membrane had lost adhesion across a wide section, and water was traveling laterally under the surface, moving between the membrane and the substrate before finding somewhere to come through. Patching exit points never resolves that problem.
We stripped the affected section, prepared the substrate properly, and applied a closed-cell SPF system that bonded directly to the deck as a single continuous surface with no laps, no seams, and no adhesive bonds to fail under freeze-thaw stress. That roof has been dry through two full winter and spring cycles since the installation.
SPF roofing doesn't just cover a roof. It becomes the roof, bonded to the substrate, seamlessly, with no entry points for water and no weak joints for Minnesota winters to exploit.
Technical Construction Solutions was built from the ground up around foam technology. Freddy Lewis founded TCS with foam systems as the foundation, insulation, structural lifting, void filling, and roofing, which means the product knowledge behind every SPF roofing project runs deep and field-tested.
If your flat or low-slope roof is leaking, failing at seams, or approaching the end of its service life, a free estimate is the right first step.
Expert Spray Foam Roof System Services in Baxter, MN
Commercial SPF Roofing
For warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail buildings, and commercial properties across Baxter and Crow Wing County, SPF roofing delivers what traditional flat roof systems can't: a seamless, monolithic surface with no laps, no seams, and no adhesive bonds to fail under freeze-thaw stress.
Closed-cell spray polyurethane foam expands on contact with the roof substrate and cures into a rigid, water-resistant surface bonded directly to the deck. The foam layer provides both weatherproofing and thermal insulation in a single application, cutting heat loss through the roof assembly while eliminating the moisture entry points that traditional systems develop over time.
For commercial property owners and facility managers across central Minnesota managing both maintenance budgets and energy costs, that combination matters. An SPF roof that stops infiltration and reduces heating and cooling load pays for itself differently than a membrane replacement that only addresses one of those problems.
The foam layer is finished with a protective elastomeric topcoat that shields the SPF from UV degradation and extends the service life of the system. That topcoat can be reapplied at the end of its service life to restore the roof without tearing off the foam beneath it, a significant long-term cost advantage over systems that require full replacement when the surface material fails.
Large-Scale SPF Roofing Projects
Large flat roof areas demand spray equipment that can maintain consistent output, temperature, and mix ratio across the full project without interruption. Inconsistent application produces inconsistent adhesion, inconsistent thickness, and inconsistent performance, which is why equipment capability directly affects SPF roofing quality on large projects.
TCS runs three dedicated spray foam rigs and operates a 44-foot commercial trailer that transports foam materials, lifts, and equipment for large-scale roofing projects in a single mobilization. A facility director on a large industrial project in central Minnesota said afterward that TCS was the first roofing crew he'd brought in that arrived with every piece of equipment staged and ready. The project started on schedule, stayed on track, and finished without a single supply interruption.
For property owners managing active commercial operations where a roofing project means disruption to daily business, that operational reliability directly reduces the total cost of the project beyond the contract price.
SPF Roofing for Agricultural and Pole Barn Structures
Metal roofing on agricultural buildings and pole barns across Baxter and surrounding Crow Wing County presents a different set of challenges than commercial flat roofs. Thermal cycling causes metal panels to expand and contract continuously, opening gaps at seams and fastener points that standard sealants can't hold through a full season. Condensation on the underside of uninsulated metal roofing damages stored equipment, hay, and grain over time.
SPF applied to a metal roof deck bonds directly to the metal surface, seals fastener points and seam gaps, and adds insulation value that cuts both condensation and heat loss through the roof. For agricultural operations across central Minnesota where the building's contents carry real value, protecting them properly through a northern winter is worth the investment.
Roof Sealing
Seam, flashing, and penetration sealing for commercial and industrial roofing systems.
Waterproofing Services
Moisture protection systems for commercial roofing and building assemblies.
Exterior Building Waterproofing
Wall assembly moisture protection paired with roof system installations.
Air Barriers
Building envelope air sealing for new construction and renovation projects.
Why Foam Expertise Matters on a Roofing Project
SPF roofing is not a system that any crew with a spray rig can install correctly. The product requires precise temperature control at the gun, a correct mix ratio between the A and B components, proper substrate preparation and moisture testing, and consistent application thickness across the full roof surface. Variations in any of those factors produce a system that underperforms or fails ahead of schedule.
TCS was built around foam technology from the beginning. The same application knowledge that produces consistent, high-performance spray foam insulation in walls, crawl spaces, and pole barns across the Baxter area carries directly into SPF roofing, because the product, the equipment, and the application discipline are the same. This crew doesn't learn foam on roofing projects. They bring foam expertise to roofing projects.
That distinction matters when the system going on your roof is expected to perform without significant maintenance for fifteen to twenty years in a climate that tests building materials harder than most.
Precise Temperature Control at the Gun
Material temperature at the spray tip directly controls viscosity, cell structure, and yield. Off-temperature application produces off-specification foam.
Correct A to B Mix Ratio
The two-component foam system requires a precise mix ratio maintained across the full application. Ratio drift produces under-cured foam.
Substrate Preparation
Foam bonds to a prepared substrate, not a contaminated or moisture-laden one. Substrate assessment determines whether the bond will hold.
Consistent Thickness
Under-thickness sections fail before the rest of the system. Consistent output from well-maintained equipment guarantees uniform performance.
Why Baxter Property Owners and Contractors Trust Technical Construction Solutions
Built Around Foam From Day One.
Foam technology is what this company was built around: insulation, lifting, structural applications, and roofing. That means the application knowledge behind every SPF roofing project is deep and field-tested across years of real projects in central Minnesota.
Spray Equipment Built for Large Roofing Projects.
Three dedicated spray foam rigs and a 44-foot commercial trailer give TCS the output capacity to complete large commercial roofing projects without the inconsistent application that underequipped crews produce when they push equipment past its capacity.
Construction Knowledge That Goes Beyond the Roof.
TCS also performs concrete lifting, undersealing, void filling, and full building insulation across Baxter. That broader construction background means roofing problems get assessed in the context of the full building assembly, not just the visible surface.
Built for Northern Climates.
Serving Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Iowa means every SPF system this crew installs is specified for freeze-thaw performance, thermal cycling, and the moisture conditions that Baxter-area roofs face every season.
Family-Built. Field-Proven.
Certifications tell you someone passed a test. A company built from the ground up on foam technology and construction field work tells you someone has solved real problems under real conditions across real seasons.
Fair Pricing. No Shortcuts.
Every estimate reflects proper substrate preparation, the right foam thickness for the application, and a topcoat system matched to the environment. No padding, no cutting application steps to protect margins.
On Time. On Budget. Every Time.
Roofing projects that drag past their scheduled window create disruption and additional cost for property owners and facility managers. Projects here finish on the timeline agreed to and within the budget outlined, every time.

Great professional team at TCS Insulation & Coating of Fargo. Business offers concrete raising and insulation spray foam for house needs. Thank you.Posted on Google Bob WinsorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If Google allowed 10 stars I'd give them to TCS Insulation & Coatings! This is simply the best, and only, company you should consider for your spray foam insulation needs. I had my steel barn spray foamed by a different company. I was concerned about the low quality of that job. I have a wifi thermometer in the building and can watch the temperature closely. The temperature inside the building fluctuated almost exactly at the same time as the outside temperature. Clearly the foam was NOT insulating well. I contacted TCS and they came to inspect. They pointed out all of the many many problems with the foam. It was determined that ALL of that existing foam needed removal. The crew from TCS did an amazing job! This building is 40'x50' with 19' high sidewalls. A HUGE job! They worked so hard for many days. They then primed all of the now bare steel, and applied the new foam insulation. Now the temperature stays constant inside when the outside temp goes up and down. It's a huge difference! The workers were great to have around for over 2 weeks. Really nice and friendly. They feel like family now. I'm sure their arms and shoulders are still painful from this job. The building inspector was impressed with their work. The first picture shows only a tiny bit of the bad foam. This shows that the first company did not mix the foam correctly. That was only part of their problem.Posted on Google Samantha JonesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Spray foam insulation is an exceptional company.
